Even though many MVHS students take pride in academics, MVHS is still home to athletes who wish to extend their sporting careers beyond high school. To achieve this in MVHS’ environment, having a productive offseason is crucial. Track and field coach Kirk Flatow discusses how athletes tend to train individually or participate in a club team. He explains how this may be monotonous, inefficient, or exhausting. To utilize the offseason effectively, Flatow encourages athletes to compete in track as a secondary sport in order to add another dimension to their athleticism. Learn more about how Flatow sees how track and field can be beneficial.
