MVHS welcomes Challenge Day

MVHS welcomes Challenge Day
Several students and staff await Challenge Day on Nov. 18

The second annual Challenge Day will be held on Nov. 18, and many students and faculty members around campus are preparing to head out to the gym early Thursday morning to attend.

The Challenge Day team has been travelling all over the U.S. to different high schools hoping to improve the lives of teenagers. The event is focused on providing an outlet for students to express the secrets and hardships that an everyday high school student experiences. With the goal of stopping bullying and peer pressure, Challenge Day aims to bring hope and a sense of belonging to those who attend.

“I want to go because last year I saw people walk out of the gym after school as if they’d seen the light,” sophomore Pooja Pandey said. She believes that the day will bring change to the campus and its students.
Several students plan to attend out of curiosity and are excited for the event.

“I’m expecting a ton of people who are willing to help and listen to each other’s problems…” sophomore Robert Heslop said. Heslop aims to understand whether or not the day will truly make a difference.
